Kimber spent over a dozen years in the Army, traveling the world, collecting memories, and learning about other cultures and how they view the world. After she left the military, she went back to school to get her Master's in Composition. It was there she decided to start writing the stories she'd been dreaming of for years.

She is originally from New Mexico (Christmas, please and thank you), and now lives with her husband and their feline overlords in the middle of small town Alabama, where she avoids conversations about football, religion, and politics.
